So this is a post for people who are afraid to add vegetables in their smoothies. AKA- me a month ago. (I know, it’s embarrassing…) But for years, I was making my smoothies with, yogurt, berries, a banana, and cranberry juice. That is all people. I was avoiding those green “
delicious” smoothies, because, well, let’s be honest… spinach and raw beets in a drink– no thanks.
But boy, was I ever wrong.
So I took the plunge. I dove right into this green smoothie craze head on, and I’m not looking back. I decided to post a simple recipe for all you beginners out there- a mix of fruits and spinach. (I promise, you don’t taste the spinach). It was surprisingly super filling… I had it for lunch, and I was good until dinner. No tummy rumblings. (This rarely happens).
- 1/2 grapefruit (scoop out seeds)
- 1 kiwi (peeled)
- 1 apple (keep the skin- discard stem and seeds)
- a good handful of spinach (ends and all)
- 1/2 cup cranberry juice
1. Omg omg. Add everything in the blender. Wooh, you’re done!
If you have any vegetable smoothies you make religiously at home- share below!
Music: This weekend I saw a local (Montreal) band, and I totally fell in love with them. I’ve been running to a few of their more upbeat songs… It’s a mix of electronic/pop/disco… really funky. (Did I just say funky?). Definitely worth a listen. Here’s, LE COULEUR.
